On 30 September 2011 it was announced that the Danish IT firm Logimatic A/S, based in the northern city of Aalborg, had acquired AX Innovation ApS, another Aalborg-based IT consultancy specialised in solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics AX.

The acquisition confirms that Microsoft products continue to be dominant in the Danish SME-market. Logimatic offers solutions within niche areas such as managing and administration of building projects, storage and logistics, and automation to clean tech, marine and offshore facilities. According to the CEO of Logimatic, Troels Severinsen, the acquisition of AX Innovation’s expertise within the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP-system fits within and will support these niche offerings.
