Jeanne – my wife – and I are extremly privileged that we have both our parents living relatively close to where we are living and that they often are very eager to take care of Vilhelm for a couple of days. A total win-win situation: Our parents love spending time with Vilhelm, Vilhelm loves spending a few days with our parents less hectic than the days spend in the kindergarten…and we love once in a while to have a couple of days off to spend alone together.

Saturday 5 July 2003 Jeanne and I had such a day or two without Vilhelm. We went to the movie theater to watch the new Polanski movie the Pianist, we had dinner at Cafe Ultimo in Tivoli Gardens and later caught a few sets of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
