Smart Mobs – the latest book by Howard Rheingold who also wrote Virtual Reality which is one of the very first books that I read dealing with the future of IT.

The book is of course a brilliant piece of journalism. But I cannot help thinking afterwards that I have just read one of the longest Wired articles. There is nothing with Wired articles of course. But in order really to learn about Always-On Panopticon…or Cooperation Amplifier, I would prefer to go directly to the sources – e.g. Michel Foucault or Robert Wright.
